Learning outcomes

Basic principles of Statistics applied to the evaluation of analytical data.
Theoretical and instrumental principles of commonly used spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques. Procedures for Quality Insurance and Quality Control of analytical data. Evaluation of the most critical steps of analytical procedures applied to the determination of pollutants in environmental samples.
The student should learn the most important theoretical, instrumental and application aspects of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques employed in Analytical Chemistry for the determination of chemical species in real samples, particularly for environmental monitoring and control.
