Learning outcomes
The course focuses on the study and analysis of English poetic, narrative and dramatic texts from the XIXth century to the contemporary age. The historical-cultural contextualization of literary works will be accompanied by an extensive discussion of the theoretical and methodological tools employed for their analysis. The course aims at widening the student’s knowledge of contemporary English literary history together with the acquisition of a sound competence in the analysis of the literary text in its different components.
