The course focuses on the study and analysis of English dramatic texts from the Middle Ages to the contemporary age. The historical-cultural contextualization of dramatic works will be accompanied by an extensive discussion of the theoretical and methodological tools employed for their analysis. The course aims at widening the student’s knowledge of the history of English theatre together with the acquisition of a sound competence in the analysis of the dramatic text in its different components.
