Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide advanced knowledge of the Anglo-American literary tradition through the study of different genres – poetry, prose, drama – and different epochs, from the origins to the present. Thanks to the study of different theoretical approaches and the use of updated methodological tools, the course will allow students to develop specialized competence in the analysis of literary texts qua complex cultural phenomena. The course also aims at the achievement of a thorough knowledge of Anglo-American literary history.
