Learning outcomes

The course deals with the so-called "postcolonial literatures" or "anglophone literatures" and it completes the acquisition of knowledge in the field of English Studies. The course aims at instructing students on postcolonial theory, and at introducing various literary traditions related to anglophone countries. In particular, the focus is on the literatures of the Caribbean, Africa, Canada, Oceania, the Indian Subcontinent, within an international and interdisciplinary framework. The objective of the course is to help students to acquire knowledge on the English speaking countries, on text analysis and on literary criticism.
