The general objectives of the course are: to provide knowledge and skills to undertake a process of extraction from a whole medicinal plant leading to a formulation usable in the health or cosmetic field; analyse and apply the fundamental principles and techniques associated with the laboratory and industrial manufacture of formulations of health products and cosmetics, even applying the knowledge to solve specific problems of formulation; understand the Italian and European laws concerning health products and cosmetics.
The course aims to provide bases of formulation technology, giving specific practical guidelines for the preparation of liquid, solid, semi-solid formulations, with health and cosmetic properties and knowledge of the legal implications for production.
