Learning outcomes
The first goal of this course is to instruct students with the main theoretical and practical knowledge on applied biochemistry as well as with the basic technical procedures and instruments present in all biological laboratories. Then, students will also learn to rely their own knowledge on biochemistry, molecular biology and regulation of biological phenomena with some main alterations determined at the pathological and pathogenetic level. They will thus learn the basic principles and methodologies of Applied Medical Biochemistry, especially as concerns the measurement of those biomarkers helpful for health care and monitoring. To this scope, we will describe some basic laboratory procedures and investigations in the field
