Aim of this course is to provide the knowledge on advanced pharmaceutical technology concerning both conventional and innovative pharmaceutical systems (drug delivery). The course aims to integrate the knowledge both on recent pharmaceutical technologies applied to the transport of active ingredients and on medical devices that can optimize the therapy in humans and animals.
In addition to an overview on the most complex pharmaceutical systems (drug delivery) the minimally invasive technologies that favour the slow and steady absorption of the drugs to the site of action (iontophoresis, sonophoresis, microneedles, particle systems) will be analysed
