The training period aims to acquaint the student with the techniques for proper post-mortem investigation on domestic and wild mammals of veterinary interest with the correct use of equipment, instrumentation and personal protective equipment. The activities are performed at the Necropsy Room, Histopathology and Neuropathology Laboratories. Specifically, the activities of the practical training are aimed to ensure that the student is able to: perform necropsy examination on mammals of veterinary interest; perform anatomo-pathological examinations on organs or sampled tissues of regularly slaughtered animals; perform tissue sampling according to subsequent diagnostic investigation protocols; compile a diagnostic report.
