Learning outcomes
The student will be involved, under the guidance of veterinarians, in all clinical activities relating to the management of cases in the emergency room and intensive care unit. Starting from the reception of the animal patient and the owner, the student will participate in all the activities of clinical setting and stabilization of the emergency patient. Student will also participate in the management of hospitalized animal patients. At the end of the practical training, the student must have acquired the ability to: correctly perform the triage; actively participate in animal stabilization; know the protocols to be implemented in case of emergencies of medical, surgical and obstetric-gynecological relevance; management of the hospitalized animal (monitoring of clinical conditions, administration of therapy, etc.); interaction with the referent of the clinical case; work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
