Learning outcomes
The aim of the practical training in Animal Feeding and Nutrition is to allow the student a practical approach to the feeding management of a livestock farm.
To this end, after a general evaluation of the farm with an indication of the species and breeds reared and the type of production, the student will recognize and evaluate the quality of the feed used and the related production and conservation techniques.
In addition, the rations used in the different production phases of the animals, their preparation and the feeding techniques will be evaluated. Finally, the student will highlight any food-borne diseases present in the farm and indicate the actions necessary to solve the problems encountered.
