The course will provide knowledge of the main techniques used in making biotechnology drugs (also called biologics or biopharmaceuticals), with specific examples of molecules already used in therapy and their pharmacological properties: recombinant proteins and peptides, monoclonal antibodies and antibody fragments, immunotoxins, vaccines and nucleic acids.
