The aim of the course in “herbal medicinal products” or “botanicals” is to know the main herbal remedies, the extraction and characterization of phyto complex from plants, the pharmaceutical preparations and optimization of herbal products, as well as the Italian and European legislation about the medicinal plant supplying, their trade and their quality and safe use. A detailed list of the main medicinal plants used in the different human diseases will be given. These botanical ingredients are normally inserted in dietary or food supplements
