Processes of near-surface geologic environments of the Earth (potential areas of focus may include rivers, hillslopes, coastal environments, deltas, glaciers, periglacial environments, etc.). Electromagnetic principles of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). Electric and magnetic proprieties of rocks, soils and fluids. GPR data capture and processing. Generation and interpretation of 2D radargrams, time slices and 3D data volume. Causes of GPR reflections in sediments. Reconstruction of internal structure of clastic sediments. GPR prospection and shallow groundwater. GPR and cavities.
