Code 196DD
Credits 6
Learning outcomes
In this course the student will learn the knowledge concerning the main electric and electromagnetic methods commonly used in applied geophysics. The methodologies described include VES, CST, Electrical Resistivity Tomography, Induced polarization both in the frequency and time domain, airborn electromagnetic surveying and GPR. These methods can be used in activities such as mineral exploration, groundwater survey including mapping of contaminant plumes, detection of geological and artificial cavities and faults.
