Learning outcomes

This course begins highlighting the growth of the distributive sector in recent years and the corresponding origin of new types of marketing (trade marketing and retailing marketing). Then it examines the main distributive functions of woolsalers and retailers and of the associated costs other then all the types of distributive firms, with particular reference to the italian situation. The course ends with an exaustive analysis of italian laws relative to the distributive sector and of the effects of these laws in delaying innovation in retailing.
After the Course, the students will be able to recognize the different characteristics of traditional and modern distributive firms and will have a definite opinion of the situation of this important sector of italian economy, with respect to the other European Nations.
