Educational goals – The course aims to give the basic knowledge to understand the dynamics of atmospheric processes as an adequate basis for providing and intepreting short and medium range weather forecasts.
Syllabus – Meteorological measurements: methodologies, standards, instrumental equipment, data acquisition. Atmospheric phenomena on global, local and synoptic scale. Weather forecasting, weather models and nowcasting method.
