Description: The course introduces, from a higher standpoint, mathematical topics for the middle school curriculum (with explicit reference to the learning goals described in the National Guidelines for the first school cycle for the content areas of Numbers and Data and Predictions).

Course objectives: The course will foster reflection upon the main conceptual and didactical issues regarding the mathematical content presented for prospective middle school teachers.
