The aim of the course is to appreciate the problems and methods needed in order to approach research in the field of history of Ancient mathematics. After some general topics, one or more texts of a Classical author (e.g. Euclid, Archimedes, Apollonius, etc.) will be discussed, studying also their tradition in the Renaissance and the relevant literature.
