Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, the students must have attained a proficiency level in English equal to the B1 PLUS Level of the CEFR. They will be able to use the terminology and communicative tools of specialised language, i.e. the language of politics, but they will also be able to generally follow the main points of extended discussion regarding political issues; to provide speech which is clearly articulated in standard English; and to express the main points they want to make comprehensibly. Lastly, they will be able to read, understand, analyse and discuss written texts of specialised areas taken from newspapers focusing on international political news.
