Learning outcomes
Acquisition of information for the analysis and management of wood and forest ecosystems, with particular emphasis on the most widespread plant coverings in central Italy. The guided work tends to highlight the specific, even administrative and legal, aspects of the woody plant communities compared to those made up mainly of herbaceous species both cultivated and spontaneous. The activity is completed with the analysis and description of: forest functions; historical phases of forestry; forest populations; successions; structure of the woody populations; basic types of structure; origin of the populations (regeneration method); treatment mode (cut); the coppicing method; the natural stand; main legislative acts of reference.
