Community psychology operational perspectives: from case work to place intervention
Code 589MM
Credits 3
Learning outcomes
This course aims to provide students with operational and methodological references on the main tools in the field of community social service. In particular, we will focus on case studies such as those relating to housing contexts, highlighting management issues also pertinent to the social worker.
During the workshop the application of some key concepts related to place identity and place attachment will be discussed and the operating methods to promote community empowerment will be presented.
A reflection will then be proposed on the contribution that the social worker can provide, starting from the knowledge and skills of community psycology, in overcoming the individual perspective in order to understand the "bridge construct" between social psychology and social service sciences, of "person in context"
