Social work is challenged to develop preventive action to contrast crime. Social Workers are called to work towards criminals, victims and their families, through complex processes of intervention and understanding of deviance. Through the use of Social Criminology and Victimology the course is expected to provide theoretical knowledge and technical intervention tools for social work on criminal justice, probation and assistance to victims
