This course would offer the basis for social media research providing basic concepts on social media theory, data analysis, and data gathering methods.
The first part of the course will focus on theory and research methods for social media analysis through the study of the most recent research and analysis techniques.
The second part of the course will focus on social media data gathering techniques and on data analysis methodologies.
Students will improve their knowledge on how to collect and analyse online conversations taking place in social media.
