Learning outcomes
The course is aimed at providing students with fundamental elements and technical tools to support the safety and reliability analysis of process and chemical plants. Key topics developed in the course are major accidents identification through hazard identification techniques and frequency evaluation through probabilistic models. Information on the classification and characterization of hazardous materials is also given. Technical elements and legislative aspects are presented in order to provide the students with safety fundamentals supporting the design and operation management of process and chemical plants.
