The course aims to provide the knowledge and tools necessary to develop the basic design of process plants in FEED context. Specific objectives of the course are: theory and equipment of fundamental operations of the process industry not included in the Course of Unit Operations (e.g mixing of fluids, crystallization and drying, mechanical separations); design methods, selection criteria and operation of equipment, process piping and fluid moving machines; drawing up of PFDs and P&IDs.
