Learning outcomes

Knowing the basics of general nursing, and pediatric clinic (contact with the patient, the principles of hospital care and home care to the bedridden patient). The cycle of sterilization. The techniques of dressing and disinfection of the skin lesions. The nursing with particular reference to orthopedic immobilization techniques and total or partial discharge of the lower limb.

Knowing the diabetic disease and its complications with particular reference to the lower limb and foot. Learn the diagnostic process (anamnesis, physical examination, laboratory tests) and acquire knowledge about organ and metabolic diseases. The medical cases of the diabetic foot: to acquire the concepts about “clinical” and in particular the approach to the patient with diabetic foot problems. Prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and bracing of the diabetic foot.
