Learning outcomes
Guided and direct experience in: service of diagnostic imaging with particular reference to radiation protection. The students deepen their knowledge by attending vocational specialist podiatric wards with particular reference to the Discipline and the object of the Thesis Theme. Students must finalize their practical internship to acquire manual experience on techniques of brace treatment, rehabilitation and minor surgery in a specialist podiatric ward, they can also assist in surgery of the foot in the surgery room.
Observations on: Dermatologic Surgery room Vascular Surgery room.
Direct experience in:
- Podiatry Surgery , Diabetic Foot Clinic (primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of ulcers and diabetic foot);
- instruments sterilization room;
- complex activities for prevention, treatment and rehabilitation (pediatric, adult and geriatric patients);
- not instrumental diagnostic activities (physical examination) and non-invasive instrumental activities.
- functional podiatric assessment (podiatric visit); design, construction, application, instruction in the use of orthotic insoles; design, construction, application, instruction in the use of digital orthoses; design, construction, application, instruction in the use of orthotic nail; design, construction, application, instruction in the use of podiatric orthotic transient; design, construction, application, instruction in the use of other orthotic foot and ankle; design, construction, application, instruction in the use of guardians of position;
- complex podiatric treatments.
