Learning outcomes

Providing knowledge to be able to research, evaluate and process meteorological data, in order to: a) define quantitatively the specific characteristics of the climate of a place; b) deal with some problems of human bioclimatology; c) discuss various issues related to the recent climate changes.
Syllabus – Italian and international meteorological databases. Data assessment and statistical processing. Human Bioclimatology: basic concepts; discomfort conditions and quantitative indices; health effects of heat and cold. Global warming and the problem of the extreme events.
