Learning outcomes

The course aims to consolidate the grammatical and lexical knowledge of the Russian language, providing the theoretical notions and tools necessary to develop a methodological approach to the translation of texts of different genres from Russian into Italian, and vice versa. The course also aims to familiarize the students with Russian culture through the analysis of Russian films, both Soviet and contemporary. Together with the monographic course held by the lecturer, practical lectures will be delivered by mother tongue linguistic experts. The lectures will enable the students to achieve a linguistic competence equivalent to the B1 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages, allowing them to meet the main communication needs in different socio-cultural, learning or professional areas. By the end of the course the students will have acquired language-communicative skills of the B1 level; will be able to master the main grammatical structures of the Russian language and the vocabulary required by the B1 level; will be able to express themselves effectively and coherently in many situations of everyday life and produce communications of medium complexity; will be able to translate from Russian into Italian texts of medium difficulty, including those of literary and journalistic genres; will be able to report film contents and more generally to summarize a story or the plot of a work.
