The course aims at providing the student with the fundamental knowledge to understand the functioning of mechanisms and machines and to determine their calculation schemes. Particular attention will be paid to commonly used mechanical elements such as gear wheels, belts and brakes. The student will also be provided with the tools to deal with problems with vibrations, friction, wear and to size a lubricated coupling.
