After an introduction to the optical and radar sensors, the course will address the fundamental methods for optical (pancromatic, multispectral, and hyperspectral imaging) and radar (SAR Interferometry and polarimetry) remote sensing, with both airborne and spaceborne sensors. Moreover, the main applications to Geosphere, Hydrosphere and Biosphere remote sensing will be presented.
