Learning outcomes

1. Provide the basic conceptual rudiments of mental disorders through study of the history of psychopathology, learning methods, criteria of normal/abnormal behavior, phenomenology, epidemiology, categorical and dimensional diagnosis of main mental disorders and their etiopathogenesis. These will serve as a basis with which to stimulate critical judgment of the concept of normality/abnormality and of the ethical and moral implications related to the phenomena and the constructs of psychopathology.
2. Learn the main theoretical models in clinical psychology to explain normal and pathological behaviour. In particular, the cognitive-behavioural model and the psychodynamic theories will be addressed.
