The course starts with the description of the long and substantial evolution that the concept of quality has undergone during the last century up to the current situation, characterized by the worldwide diffusion of the ISO 9001 standard. The course continues with the detailed discussion of the ISO 9001 standard. Its contents are explained through the use of examples of techniques and methods useful for its practical application. The student who successfully completes the course will have a solid understanding of principles, methods, techniques and tools for managing the basic factors of quality in any type of organization. In particular, he/she will can:
- analyze and detect the way an organization works, among a standard set of models;
- design, control and improve production processes, and also services, under the mentoring of a senior colleague.
