Regulation is one of the primary means by which government affects firm decisions. Through a combination of lecture and case discussions, this course provides a framework for understanding the objectives, consequences, and design of government regulation in the public utilities sector.
The aim of the course is to guarantee a proper knowledge of the more important public utilities organization models. At the end of the course the student will be able to understand: - the concept of public service and the related management models; legal and regulatory instruments of liberalization process.
