Learning outcomes

Geography is a discipline that studies the relationships occurring between human society and the environment. This course of Economic geography has therefore the aim of providing appropriate methods to define the characteristics of the territory and the environment, and to understand the relations existing among the elements and the processes of the economic space on one hand, and
the aspects of the natural space and the social system on the other hand.
Students will be able to conceptualize economic problems in terms of space, place and scale and they will be introduced to several important topics such as for example the agricultural sector, the spatial organization of services, the location of industries, the economies of agglomeration, transport, the economy-environment interaction, the global impact of the climate changes, etc.
