Learning outcomes

The course aims at providing students with knowledge on the rearing techniques of the different animal species (dog, dairy and beef cattle, pigs, sheep, goats), about suitable breeding techniques to increase the efficiency of productive and reproductive parameters and to improve animal welfare.
The course also focuses on the knowledge of the external characteristics (phenotype) of the dog and of the livestock animals in order to assess their functional value.
