Learning outcomes

The student will acquire skills that will enable him to:
- assess the biochemical data of nutritional interest of the patient in relation to various diseases
- develop and administer customized dietary patterns in patients with acute diseas, chronic, degenerative and or metabolic diseases
- advise on the use of dietary products in celiac disease, chronic renal failure, malnutrition, enteral feeding, intestinal problems
- implement the intervention through therapeutic education to patients with these diseases
- develop plans of enteral nutrition therapy in hospital and at home
- provide informations and / or explanations on enteral nutrition to the patient / caregiver
- relate and integrate with other health professionals
- monitor, evaluate and implement changes in the nutritional treatment plans
- do research through libraries and the Internet
- make critical use of the softwares for the preparation of diets
