Learning outcomes
The course provides notions on the following main topics: 1) general pharmacodynamics; 2) general pharmacokinetics; 3) drug interactions; 4) adverse drugs reactions and pharmacovigilance; 5) drugs acting on the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems; 6) drugs acting on the control of inflammation and/or pain; 7) drugs acting on the central nervous system and employed for the management of neuro-psychiatric disorders as well as to induce sedation; 8) drugs employed to manage metabolic diseases; 9) drugs employed in the therapy of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases; 10) chemotherapy againsts bacteria, fungi, virus and malignant tumours; 11) drugs eliciting adverse reactions on oral and dental tissues.
