Learning outcomes

Providing knowledge on methods for sound signal analysis (Fourier, STFT, wavelets, etc.) and on signal processing techniques (compression, expansion, filtering, etc..) used in digital hearing aids.
Providing knowledge on the principles of impedance and impedance techniques, the characteristics of impedance instrumentation and applications in audio-prosthesis.
Providing knowledge about the origin of otoemissions, acoustic detection techniques and hearing aids applications.
Providing knowledge on supraliminal audiometry tests for the study of recruitment, fatigue, adaptation and auditory frequency distortion.
