The aim of the course is to give a detailed account of the treatment planning methods in external beam irradiation including techniques with intensity modulation of the dose. General principles of brachytherapy, intraoperative radiotherapy and stereotattic cranial and extra-cranial irradiation.
The course will give an introduction to the most advanced techniques in external beam radiotherapy such as IMRT, IGRT, and steretattic radiotherapy with emphasis on indications, technical requirements for their implementation and the need for integration of the various proifessional figures involved in the radiotherapy department for an appropriate utilization.
