The course aims at offering a basic knowledge of archaeological studies on the pre-classical civilizations of the Mesopotamia and Arabian Peninsula between the formation of urban civilization in the second half of the 4rth millennium BC and the beginning of Hellenization, with particular attention to the study of material culture and of iconic communication.
