The main objectives of the course are:
-Identify the major differences and similarities between financial and managerial accounting
-Identify and give examples of cost terms, concepts and classifications
-Understand the difference between cause-and-effect allocations and others cost allocations criteria
-Explain direct costing
-Know how to use relevant costs for decision making
-Explain job costing, batch costing, operations costing and process costing
-Distinguish between traditional and activity-based costing systems
-Explain basic elements of activity-based costing systems.
