Learning outcomes

In this course, the students will earn the competences required to develop systems for the acquisition and classification of physical, chemical and biochemical quantities, conceived to allow robots, vehicles and wearable/implantable devices to interact with the environment. The student will learn how to design sensor systems using CAD tools for high-level multi-domain system simulation. The course will also introduce the student to digital techniques for the analysis and classification of data from large sensor clusters, based on statistical models and machine learning approaches. In addition, the student will gain the knowledge of the main components used in sensor systems and of the communication strategies for sensors networks.
