The course aims to provide the student with the tools to analyze and design circuits and systems, with both analog and digital signals, operating at high frequencies, with low power consumption and high performance, for wireless networking infrastructures and for the Internet of Things (IoT). The course refers to applications such as wireless sensor networks and RFID (RF identification) for industry 4.0, radar/lidar and V2X (vehicle to everything) communications for self-driving vehicle scenarios, Robotics and the Internet of Energy. The student will be able to tackle the project starting from high level modeling with tools such as Matlab/Simulink of the complete system, to the optimization and co-design of the HW/SW platform, up to the choice and design of high-performance circuits and integrated systems in advanced technologies.
