The course deals with the design of electronic systems for sensor interfacing and processing of the resulting signals. Advanced analog architectures will be analyzed in order to gain the skills required to perform their design according to offset, noise and speed specifications. The techniques required to design and employ high performance analog to digital converters and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) devices will be illustrated. The basic knowledge of the mixed signal hardware description language VHDL-AMS will be provided.
