The course provides students with the medicinal chemistry knowledge
of several groups of therapeutic agents. Particularly, drugs belonging to some
therapeutic classes are described and their chemical, pharmacological and metabolic
characteristics are illustrated together with their synthetic pathways, their structure activity
relationship and design. The course is aimed to achieve the ability to correlate rationally the
chemical structure of drugs with their activity, toxicity, chemical and metabolic stability
