Learning outcomes

the course aims to provide the students with the basic knowledge on -the current legislation about health organization, - the distribution of medicine to the patient in the pharmacy than in the other pharmaceutical services, - the Pharmacist’s Code of Ethics and - the patient rights.
 In addition to an introduction on the development of the Italian pharmaceutical service and on the drug registration, will be deepened the dispensing of medicinal products for human and animal use and other important products for human health, such as medical devices, supplements and cosmetics. Furthermore, the tools to ensure the quality and safety of the medicinal products and the role played by the pharmacist in this area will be explained. To complete the teaching the tools by which the Italian State guarantees the correct application of the principles of the National Health Service (SSN), controls the health care spending by evaluating the cost-effectiveness of the therapeutic treatments and implements the professionalism of the pharmacist for maintaining the health of citizens, will be illustrated
