Learning outcomes
The main objective of the course is to provide students with in-depth knowledge on the methods of preparation and management in pharmacy of magisterial and officinal galenic preparations, as well as on the main technological operations in use and on the current legislation.
Attending the course will allow the student to become aware of the pharmacist's responsibilities within the galenic laboratory and how galenic activity must be organized in compliance with the NBP both in the territorial pharmacy and in hospital pharmacy.
The student will learn to recognize the mandatory formal aspects, essential for the acceptance of a medical prescription and will learn the skills to set up the main galenic pharmaceutical forms solid, liquid and semisolid with particular regard to the choice of ingredients and quality control of the preparations.
The course is organized in lectures and practical activity in laboratory, working alone or in a group.
During the practical activity, in itinere tests (feedback evaluation) on the shipment of a galenic recipe can be carried out, in order to facilitate the learning process, which will be part of the final evaluation.
