Learning outcomes
The course deals with agronomic issues related to the agricultural production of medicinal plants in full compliance with the respect of the natural resources.
The student who successfully completes the course will be able to understand the effect of environment and agronomic management on crop growth, crop productivity and quality. The students are expected to acquire information of the principles and techniques of cultivation and propagation of the main Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAP). The student will be aware of the raw material production chain and of the main critical issues and challenges for their agricultural production and processing. He/she will be able to understand the correlation between the quality of the raw materials of agricultural origin and the quality of the drug and its derivatives.
